Speaking at MAX 2008: Extending Spry Framework

I added the speaker badge a few days ago, but forgot to mention that I'll be speaking at MAX 2008 in San Francisco in November. The title of the session if Extending the Spry Framework, and I'll be giving it on Wednesday, November 19th at 9:30 am - 10:30 am. Check out the session browser select Spry from the Product list to see the Spry related sessions. Here's the session description:
Move beyond the standard widgets, transitions, and effects available with the Spry framework. We’ll explore how both novices and power users can enhance their work by extending existing widgets to add new functionality, building new widgets with custom transitions from powerful Spry base components, and combining multiple visual effects to enhance the user experience.
If you have any thoughts on what widgets you'd like to see added to the framework, please do leave a comment so I can try to work it into the presentation.

If you're coming to MAX, please stop by and we can talk Dreamweaver and Spry!

@V1,

Unfortunately, I've learned that my session has been canceled due to lack of enrollment. I guess not enough people are excited about the things that we get excited about.

I'm checking to see if I can still go to MAX as there are a few sessions I'd like to attend, as well as meetup with a few folks that I'd like to have some conversations with.

I think its because there aren't that much dreamweaver / ajax users in general @ MAX.

I went to Donald Booth session @ MAX euope, There where only 10 people..

I attended one at MAX by Nate Koechley from the Yahoo YUI team that discussed YUI widgets used within Dreamweaver, and it was more than half full (75+), and I'm pretty sure that there was a jQuery session, so there is at least some interest.

Maybe it was that my session wasn't described well, maybe I don't carry enough of a name to draw attention to my session, or maybe Spry doesn't maybe much uptake in the MAX crowd.

I plan on working with my local Adobe User Group in Chicago to see if there is interest locally.
